Business Basics Workshops

The Small Business Development Center at JCC is conducting two workshopa which will cover information essential to the successful start-up of a business. The classes will be offered on Wednesday, January 20th 2010 from 2pm to 4pm, and on Wednesday March 4th from 6pm to 8pm.

If you are thinking about starting your own business and you need some help, this seminar is a great place to begin. Basic information will be provided regarding several topics, such as: license and permits, organizational structures, business taxes, financing sources, recordkeeping essentials, developing a business plan, cash flow development and many more topics.

Financing Your Business- Wed March 18th from 5pm to 7pm. Cost $10. Call 376-7037 to register. Information on financial incentives for new and existing businesses, representatives from local banks, community funds, and the SBA.

Website Design and Development- Wed March 25th from 6pm to 9pm. Cost $10. Call 376-7037 to register. Information presented will relate to basic website design and development. Website design and development resources. What to look for when building a website.

Internet Marketing- Thurs April 30th from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Cost $50. Call 376-7037 to register. SiteSeeker a prominent internet marketing company will present an in-depth program on marketing and maintaining an internet presence. Websites will be reviewed for content, style, and keywords.
